Wonderful trips and excursions

By following the waterways, visitors can enjoy the wide variety of landscapes and the tranquillity of the area. While some may prefer to stay on their boats, others may choose to do some excursions and trips to discover more about the area's culture and heritage.

The "land-based" programme includes visits in the heart of nature or to the towns and villages around the Terres d'Oh! to explore the history of Alsace and Lorraine, and discover some of its surprising secrets.

A rich heritage to discover

In Sarreguemines, a border town, you can learn about the history of a local craft that is acknowledged far beyond the borders of Lorraine: earthenware and tableware. Around Sarre-Union, in hilly Alsace, several places steeped in history take visitors back through time, such as Willer's mill in Harskirchen and the Villa in Dehlingen.

Not far from Sarrebourg, with its Chagall circuit and crystal workshops, there are the fascinating Saint-Louis Arzviller inclined plane (boat lift) and the great lock in Réchicourt, while in Saverne, art and history enthusiasts will particularly enjoy visiting the Château des Rohan.
